This International conference is aimed to bring together a community of academics, researchers and practitioners that are involved in every aspect of Design Science. The importance of design was first brought to light by Herbert Simon’s famous “Sciences of the Artificial”. Since then, a whole body of research whose goal is to design and invent methods, processes and systems has emerged. The creation of IT artifacts and their evaluation is central to this paradigm. This conference will explore both the design methodology aspects as well as research conducted using design science.

The objective of the conference is to bring together researchers from different backgrounds ranging from computer science, information systems, and software engineering to social ethnography designers to create a forum for discussing novel solutions to emerging problems.

We encourage contributions in all areas of design science. We are seeking design theory papers, design research methodology papers and topics papers with special emphasis on the science of design. We encourage contributions in all areas of design science. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to:

Science of Design and Design Theory
Software Design
Database Design
Business Process Design
Knowledge Discover and Data Mining
Medical, Health and Bio-Informatics
